Chinese Five Spice Powder is an essential ingredient in so many dishes, it is a must have for any cooks to know. Whilst this recipe is not the only version, it is an excellent starting point. This recipe is one of the three essentials if you want to add an Asian touch to any dish. The other two are Hoisin Sauce and Sesame Oil. Just a few of the recipes on this that include this recipe are Chinese Five-Spice Chicken (Wu Hsiang Chi), Boom Boom Turkey and Barbecued Shrimp. It is also an essential ingredient in two of my favourite Chinese recipes; Chicken Chow Mein and Vegetable Chow Mein.
Chinese Five-Spice Powder
This is a must have of any decent home kitchen. This powder is universal and can be used to flavour dishes from Cantonese roasted duck to beef stew.
