Ingredients
- 1 cup grits
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 8 oz pepper Jack cheese grated
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 pinch Salt to taste
- 1 pinch ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the grits in the slow cooker and pour the boiling water over them, stirring until smooth.1 cup grits
- Set the cooker on low heat and let the grits soak for 10 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients, stirring until the butter is melted.2 large eggs, 8 oz pepper Jack cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 4 cups boiling water, 1 pinch Salt, 1 pinch ground pepper
- Cook covered on low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
Notes
I often serve mine with pan fried shrimp or with poached eggs on top and crispy bacon. Either way is a winner.
