Apple Strudel is a perfect dessert or me. When it’s piping hot and covered with cold custard, the flavour is outstanding. Serve as a dessert with a multitude of other accompaniments, such a s ice cream, evaporated milk, cream etc.

Ingredients
- 2 cup flour
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 lb unsalted butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 3 large apples
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Cut butter into flour as for pie crust. Add egg yolks, vinegar and water and mix well.2 cup flour, 3 large egg yolks, 1/2 lb unsalted butter, 2 tbsp vinegar, 1/4 cup water
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 3 hours).
- Divide dough into 3 parts and work with one at a time. Roll out on floured cloth to 10-1/2 x 15-1/2 inches.
- Sprinkle each part with: 1 tablespoon flour, 3 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon3 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp plain flour
- Arrange 3 peeled and diced apples along edge of long side and roll up, guiding with the cloth grasped in each hand.3 large apples
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet (with sides) or shallow baking pan.
- Â Bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.
- Â Serve with confectioner’s sugar sprinkled on top.

Anyone who has tried apple strudel before always says yes to it again.
