Chocolate is a typically sweet, usually brown food preparation of Theobroma cacao seeds, roasted and ground. It is made in the form of a liquid, paste, or block, or used as a flavouring ingredient. It has been around for at least three thousand years. Hence Valentines, birthdays and the time for an apology wouldn’t be the same without it!! Imagine Chocolate SoufflĂ©, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Bishop Pie or Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins without it? When cooking always try and use a high cocoa powder content. This is richer and more flavoursome and smoother and will make your cooking better. Don’t forget there is more to chocolate than a mars bar.
