Chocolate is a typically sweet, usually brown food preparation of Theobroma cacao seeds, roasted and ground. It is made in the form of a liquid, paste, or block, or used as a flavouring ingredient. It has been around for at least three thousand years. Hence Valentines, birthdays and the time for an apology wouldn’t be the same without it!! Imagine Chocolate Soufflé, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Bishop Pie or Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins without it? When cooking always try and use a high cocoa powder content. This is richer and more flavoursome and smoother and will make your cooking better. Don’t forget there is more to chocolate than a mars bar.
