Fruit normally means the fleshy seed-associated structures of a plant that are sweet or sour. They are normally edible in the raw state, such as apples, bananas, grapes, lemons, oranges, and strawberries. These are part of our daily lives and contain vitamins needed to stay healthy. Hence the belief about having five items of fruit and vegetables a day keeps the doctor at bay.
